I first watched the recent one (which is 2008 or 2007) and liking it, decided to watch it a second time in the 1995 version. I thought I couldn't like any version of the same show better but found myself preferring the 1995 version. Found this music video on youtube. The somewhat "flakey" pop song "I'll never get over you (getting over me)" surprisingly worked very well with this video. Actually, I didn't quite want to.  It was one of those times when I'm lukewarm.  Angie missed last Sunday 'cos she was off trekking in Vietnam and she said she really "needed it".  That "needing it" struck a chord in my spirit I suppose, though it didn't really change the way I felt.  Hmm... anyways, I have learnt not to put too much stock in my feelings, so I decided to go with her. I 'rested' and missed this <img src="http://images.multiply.com/common/smiles/embarassed.png"> Pastor said that there is no longer a fearful expectation of evil for the believer today.  He emphasised that when we sin, there will be a consequence.  But that under the new covenant, there is no such thing as sowing to sin.  One of the verses he referred to was Galatians 6:6-10 Would appreciate an explanation of the underlined :)  Thanks! Okay, that's 4 words :) Jenn and I went down to the floor at the front when the band came on and just whoa!  Worship God!  The music, the people, the band, the words, hands lifted in worship, the lights, jumping, shouting praising Almighty God!  And looking at the sea of people about me, in the midst of the exhilaration, I was touched by the Holy Spirit when I recalled that verse, "this is it.. for the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross..." After Pastor Benjamin's message about what The Zone is - entering into His grace and favour where God can turn everything around and how we totally belong in that because of the gift of His righteousness, the altar call came and the response was amazing! The first of three flamenco films by Carlos Saura (different storylines). Borrowed this from the library; was delighted to find a film on flamenco. This is a 1981 production but the quality was still pretty good. This film records a rehearsal of the dance "Blood Wedding". I really liked it! Kind of juxtaposes reality and "the play". Yet once the rehearsal (it's a straight through rehearsal) starts, you get into an intimate world and you got to tell yourself it's a rehearsal. It's strange to see how intensesly the characters play out on stage yet at the same time, one is benignly aware that they are acting. Antonio Gades was mesmerizing! I did a search of him on the web and he's quite a legend! Unfortunately, he passed away in 2004. There are still quite a few clips on youtube that you can check out if you're interested.
